Aloe Fresh is the only genuine organic Aloe Barbadensis grower for supply in NZ. We supply fresh leaves and genuine Aloe Vera plants. (CSRIO Aust. certified Barbadensis and Aloe Barbadensis-Miller)
DON'T BE DOOPED!
The Aloe Vera labelled plants sold at numerous retailers throughout NZ are not the True Medicinal Aloe Vera used by the Health and Skin-care industries worldwide. This is also the case with plants sold on auction and trade sites. (in particular, Trade Me). They are either one of the many aloe species (of which there are hundreds) or a hybrid, and all these are without the medicinal and skin care properties for which the plant is renown. Many of the aloes sold as aloe vera are toxic and should not be consumed or made into drinks. They serve little or no benefit to skin health or otherwise.
Tests have shown that hybrids reduce the medicinal compound qualities by about 85% to 95% leaving all of the vital and most beneficial compounds absent or virtually non-existent.
You will see numerous plants claiming to be Aloe Vera on the auction site TradeMe and few, if any, are the true aloe.
Aloe Barbadensis and Aloe Barbadensis-Miller are the true and original Aloes for Health and Skin-Care and by the industry brands we are all familiar with.
