For those who have an aversion to getting all gooey when using the raw leaf.
So what are the up sides of doing this?
1. It suits those who have a demeanor leaning towards a daintiness to life and are adverse to doing anything that makes them cringe or squirm when things a gooey despite the remarkable benefits getting a little messy can deliver. (That was just my humour coming out-please don't take offense).
2. A container is easily transportable - as in being able to apply the product whilst driving, sitting at your desk at work or if your activities are generally outdoors then there is an ease in applying it to your skin on those hot days when exposed to New Zealand's extreme ultra-violet sun penetration, said to be the most extreme in the world.
3. In particular we are developing a HYDRATING SKIN TONING CONDITIONER AND COOLANT which will be supplied in a fine MIST SPRAY container making it very convenient to apply.
4. Obviously of all is the speed and convenience of using something from a tube and some such container and we all know we live in the insane world where convenience is everything even if it is so ingrained in most people despite it devastating the planet at a pace never experienced before in recorded history.
5. The packaging is (I thnk) very attractive and is recyclable.
OK - now the down side.
1. In the process of creating any product it needs to be stabilized (preserved) to avoid the development of undesirable biological substances that generally are activated by the organic material being exposed to air and other environmental substances that can create toxicity, fungi and other unwanted harmful growths. Most producers putting products on the market pay little attention to the potentially harmful effects or side effects these additives can have on your skin or internal bodily function. Unless it is very obvious of course. We are all aware of the deceptions profusely, cynically and regardlessly planted in the marketplace knowing full well that most people wont question the unknown or have this unquestioning trust and belief of the claims made by products and their producers. They are often those who scoff at people who believe in UFOs or the Lochness Monster. (There's probably better analogies than those). One of the benefits of being sole proprietor of this business in that it gives me license to waffle-on if I like however I mast always bear integrity in mind.
2. So after all that, finally to 2. in the short list of Down Sides.
Basically when processing any raw material some of the benefits or goodness of the plant are partially lost hence lessening the strength or direct instant effect the raw gel offers. This of course is apparent with almost any of nature's produce - oranges, pears, apples etc......
Also the stabilization substances that maintain the organic integrity are expensive a difficult to to the ones that are compatible with the product being made. i have put a lot time and searching finding these natural preserving ingredients. The same applies to sourcing scents and fragrances that are authentic (natural). I originally thought this was going to ba an overseas demand but remarkably I found a delightfully eccentric Frenchman under my olfactory glans preventing an expected expensive gaunt abroad, all of these things enabling costs to be kept down thank goodness. which always seems to abound when doing something that has a wholesome quality.
