One year old plants
approx 20 to 30cm tall

The plants at left are approximately 30cm  tall from soil and are 12 to 15 months old.
Plants are usually sold about this size however various sizes are available.
These two plants are 12 to 18 months away from producing mature leaves.
Summer is the optimum growing period so the time of year you plant them will determine the time they are large enough to harvest.
They will double in size in the first year and grow a further 30cm to 40cm or more over the following year.
The pic on the right is a mature plant - 3 years old.

Numerous pups (plantets) occur
during growth usually in the 2nd year.
It is best not to separate them until
they are about 25cm or more.

Shipped/couriered plants are without pots.
Like most succulents, the Aloe plants will last months without being planted. Of course the sooner you plant them the sooner they establish themselves and begin root growth.
